Biographies

Bob Chilcott

Bob Chilcott’s music has been performed all over the world. His reputation as a composer of popular and accessible music for adult and children’s choirs is growing fast. A boy chorister and choral scholar at King’s College Cambridge, he was also a member of the King’s Singers for 12 years before becoming a full-time composer in 1997. He is in great demand as a conductor and workshop leader worldwide. This CD brings together some of his best-loved and most widely-performed work as well as some new material.

Sir Philip Ledger

Sir Philip Ledger CBE is widely-recognised as a recording artist of great distinction. He has been director of music at King’s College, Cambridge; principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and an artistic director of the Aldeburgh Festival.
As conductor, pianist and harpsichordist, he has given performances all over the world and worked with international artists including Thomas Allen, Janet Baker and Dietrich Fischer- Dieskau. Philip Ledger has five honorary doctorates and was knighted for Services to
Music in 1999.

Nick Parker

Nick Parker has worked as a producer/engineer for countless international CD productions. He has collaborated with a wide variety of artistes, including Sir John Eliot-Gardiner, The Monteverdi Choir, The English Baroque Soloists, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Sir Charles Mackerras, Chistopher Hogwood and the Academy of Ancient Music, and many others including ethnic music groups. In 1999 Nick won a Grammy Award as producer of Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress with the London Symphony Orchestra, Bryn Terfel, Anne-Sofie von Otter and Ian Bostridge.

Hilary Tadman-Robins

Hilary Tadman-Robins studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and London University. She has extensive experience as a Director of Music in an educational setting. In addition to tutoring the Cheshire County Youth Band, the Oxfordshire Schools Symphony Orchestra and the Abingdon Primary Music Course, she has been visiting lecturer at Westminster College, Reading University and the Royal Northern College of Music. She has been musical director of The Burford Benefice of Churches since 1999 and is chorus master of the Burford Singers. She was founder director of the Cotswold Children’s Choir in 1997.
